FlatSummit Jam, Sunday 13th of March 2011!

Welcome to FlatSummit!

The FlatSummit Jam will take place on Sunday 13th March 2011 from 12-5pm at Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre, Brighton, BN2 4PB.

The Jam

We're having a jam where people can session all day in the hall, we'll have a DJ playing some tunes and then at 5pm - weather permitting - we'll head to the seafront and ride at the west pier spot until the sun goes down.

The Space

The sports hall space is the size of 6 badminton courts. The photo above shows half of the hall, on the day of the jam the central divider will be removed so we can use the whole space. The floor is varnished concrete; it's very smooth and in very good condition. We ride there on a regular basis so we already know that it is suitable for flatland riding.

Getting to the Venue

If you're driving to the jam the sports centre has a car park you can use. If you're coming by train you can either get off at Brighton Station and ride for 20 mins to the venue, or the easiest thing to do is to get straight on a second train from Brighton station to Moulsecoomb (usually departing from platform 7 or 8 and takes 5 minutes). From Moulsecoomb station you ride down the hill and turn left on to the dual carriageway. Continue along this for a couple of minutes and you'll see a sign (just before the viaduct) for Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre. Turn right on to Moulsecoomb Way and the sports centre is immediately on your right.

Food and Drink

There aren't any shops at the venue. The nearest shops are back down the dual carriageway towards town, about a 10 minute ride. So, we suggest you bring something with you to eat and drink.

Any queries can be directed to flatsummit@gmail.com

Look forward to seeing you there!
